2020 World Series Prediction: Part Two

I predict that the Dodgers will win the Series in six games. The Rays are a right-handed heavy pitching staff, so I believe that the left handed power hitters in Cody Bellinger, Corey Seager, and Joc Pederson will make some noise in this Series. The consistent bats of Mookie Betts and Justin Turner will heavily be relied on, as it is never a bad idea to bet on them. As I stated before, as long as Los Angeles does not push Kershaw too far, I am certain that he can be successful. It is obvious that he has a lot left in the tank, as he had a stellar 2.16 ERA in the 2020 regular season, over ten starts and 58.1 innings. To go along with Kershaw, they have the young and intense arms of Walker Buehler and Julio Urias to provide them with innings. When Buehler is at his best, he can go at least seven innings, and Urias can provide a main long relief option if needed, or he can go back-to-back days. Rookie Dustin May is also a great option to start, as he was great in the regular season, and has a great 2.45 ERA, in 11 innings over seven appearances in this Postseason.

Lastly, I predict that the World Series MVP will be Cody Bellinger. Although his career Postseason numbers are rather poor, I do think it is a favorable matchup for Bellinger. Glasnow has shown a propensity for giving up the long ball, and neither Snell nor Morton will blow him away with velocity. Mookie Betts, Walker Buehler, and NLCS MVP Corey Seager are definitely the more safe World Series MVP predictions, but hey, why not pick the underdog.
